DBA - AS/400

We are looking for a Database Administrator with experience in IBM i / OS400 environments to join our IT team.

Key Responsibilities

• Administration, monitoring, performance tuning, backup and recovery of DB2 databases.
• Database architecture, data modeling, DDL changes and impact analysis.
• Management of database structures, metadata, authorizations, data dictionaries and technical documentation.
• Administration and maintenance of database and data management tools.
• Management of data updates, data masking, data migrations and population of lower environments using anonymized data.
• Database performance and health monitoring, incident identification and troubleshooting.
• Implementation and management of database and tool changes.
• Management of software version control using PTC / MKS.
• Collaboration with application and development teams to optimize database performance and support new requirements.

• DB2 / IBM i (AS400 / OS400)
• COBOL, CLP and RPG
• Excel, VBA and Macros
• IBM i Access Client Solutions (ACS)
• SAP PowerDesigner
• Alteryx and Qlik Sense
• PTC / MKS

Profile

• Experience as a Database Administrator, preferably in IBM i / AS400 environments.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with database performance, data management and change control.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and application teams.
