Automation Tester, Telco (Python) - Tieto Tech Consulting (m/f/d)

Job Description 

We are looking for a motivated Tester with strong experience in the telecom domain to join our team working on an Automated Testing system for 5G Core networks. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test scenarios that validate the behavior and compliance of telecom network components based on 3GPP standards. The testing framework is Python-based (with web UI) and integrates with TTCN and containerized environments.  

Requirements  

• 4G/5G domain knowledge 

• Familiarity with 3GPP protocols and network architecture 

• IP networks troubleshooting 

• Knowledge of software test methodologies (e.g., unit, integration, system, regression testing).  

• Comfortable working with Linux environments.  

• Good English communication skills.  

• Innovative and solution thinking abilities.  

• Open minded and willing to accept challenges.  

Nice to have competences  

• Experience with protocol-level testing.  

• Experience in 5GC/EPC

• Knowledge of SW architecture design and Agile practices.  

• Knowledge of test management and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).  

• Experience with log analysis and debugging tools.  

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. 

• Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electronics or a related field.  

• Ability to learn new technology quickly.
