Barbora Kedroutková, Global Head of Energy and Utility Network

My name is Barbora Kedroutková, and I work as the Global Head of Energy and Utility Network at Tietoevry Create in the Czech Republic.

I joined Tietoevry for the first time in April 2016 and returned in September 2022.

When I left Tietoevry, I joined a company focused on ServiceNow consulting and delivery. My role was a combination of delivery management for two customers and people management of the team working in managed services.

What I missed the most was the culture at Tietoevry – openness and transparency, along with a respectful environment. This is why I decided to return, as the company upholds strong values that emphasize creating an environment where people matter.

During my previous employment, I experienced unwavering support from my colleagues and leadership, which significantly contributed to my professional growth. Additionally, I was excited about the opportunity to take on a different role that would bring me closer to customers and involve strategic decision-making, allowing me to make a more impactful contribution.

When I came back, Tietoevry was undergoing a significant reorganization. My role was to build up a new team in the new setup, establish a new network, and identify areas where we wanted to grow. Of course, I could still use some of my previous connections, but it was one of those changes where you are almost starting from scratch. I appreciated what I learned in the other company, and I have definitely changed my perspective in some areas. It was good to leave and learn how another company works.

What I value the most at Tietoevry is our culture, which offers the possibility to grow and change direction if you feel you need a new challenge. I also appreciate our respectful environment. Tietoevry gives me enough space and trust to drive things forward. I have leadership that listens to what I am suggesting, and they support me in making changes if they align with higher goals. 😊

What greetings do you have for Tietoevry alumni considering a return?

Tietoevry offers such a broad range of products and services that it is really up to you to choose whether you want the same or a completely different job. Customers differ so greatly that you might not feel like you're returning to the same company. On the other hand, in many cases, you can still join a similar team and continue what you know best.

The only constant is the values. Tietoevry does care about people, and if you want to grow, you will have opportunities. The stability and variability of technology and customers, together with our values, create a good mixture. You will never be the same person as when you left; a new job and new work will change you, so you can use this knowledge and choose wisely when returning to Tietoevry.
