Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Android Developer to create high-performance Android Automotive experiences designed for embedded in-vehicle systems.

In this role, you will build and evolve Android Automotive (AAOS) applications using Kotlin, integrating mobile experiences with backend services, AI-driven features, and voice interfaces. You will design scalable and maintainable architectures, ensure compliance with automotive UX and safety constraints, and collaborate closely with QA and DevOps teams to support quality, automation, and reliable release processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Android Automotive (AAOS) applications using Kotlin
  • Integrate mobile applications with backend services, AI capabilities, and voice-driven interfaces
  • Ensure compliance with automotive UX standards, performance constraints, and driver safety guidelines
  • Build scalable, modular, and testable Android architectures
  • Collaborate with QA teams to implement automation and validate product quality
  • Work with DevOps to support CI/CD pipelines and efficient release cycles
  • Debug, profile, and optimize applications running on embedded automotive hardware
  • Participate in technical decision-making, code reviews, and engineering best practices

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Android development
  • Strong expertise in Kotlin and modern Android development patterns
  • Experience building and shipping production Android applications
  • Solid understanding of Android architecture components and lifecycle management
  • Experience integrating REST APIs and backend systems
  • Strong debugging and performance optimization skills
  • Hands-on experience with Android Automotive (AAOS)
  • Familiarity with in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems
  • Experience working with AI-powered features or voice interfaces
  • Understanding of automotive UX principles and driver distraction constraints
  • Experience developing for embedded or resource-constrained environments
