Senior DevOps & AI Automation Engineer - Tieto Tech Consulting (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Senior DevOps & AI Automation Engineer to drive automation, improve operational efficiency, and accelerate study delivery. This role combines DevOps expertise, hands-on scripting, and practical use of AI tools to build scalable, production-ready solutions that can be adopted and maintained across the wider team. Strong UTS platform knowledge and experience delivering reliable, business-focused automation solutions are key to success in this position. 

Key Responsibilities   

• Build and maintain scripts, tools, and automated workflows to reduce manual effort across study setup, configuration, and handover activities 

• Configure and optimize the UTS platform, applying subject matter expertise to standardize and streamline study delivery processes 

• Own the full lifecycle of internal automation solutions, including CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, support, and ongoing maintenance 

• Identify opportunities to apply AI, LLMs, and Generative AI to improve operational efficiency, including document generation, data extraction, and quality validation 

• Integrate automation and AI capabilities into business processes through low-code and no-code platforms to enable wider adoption across teams 

• Develop and maintain data pipelines for extraction, transformation, and delivery, ensuring data quality, consistency, and accurate mapping 

• Create reusable assets, templates, and scalable processes that improve efficiency, reduce rework, and shorten delivery timelines 

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives by standardizing technical processes, rollout practices, and handover models across study delivery 

• Drive coding best practices by improving code quality, reducing unnecessary complexity, and promoting maintainable and consistent development standards 

• Provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and support the adoption of modern engineering, automation, and AI practices across the team 

Required Experience & Qualifications 

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, software engineering, technical delivery, or a similar role focused on scripting and automation 

• Strong Python skills with hands-on experience building scripts, tools, and automated workflows 

• Experience with automation platforms such as Power Automate, Logic Apps, or similar tools 

• Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent 

• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or Azure 

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, or similar 

• Knowledge of data processing and integrations, including APIs, Excel, SharePoint, and tools such as Pandas 

• Practical experience applying AI, LLMs, or Generative AI solutions for automation or productivity use cases 

• Familiarity with platforms such as Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Claude Code, or similar AI tools 

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills 

• Experience with the UTS (Unified Trial Solution) platform is highly desirable 

• Effective communicator and team player with a proactive, solution-oriented and growth mindset
